At Grand Strand Anxiety and OCD Center/Tammy Hutcheson LPC NCC ACT, I am dedicated to providing compassionate counseling services to individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. My goal is to empower my clients to achieve their personal and professional goals, and to improve their overall quality of life.
I am an experienced counselor that uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, Exposure and Response treatment, DBT therapy, ACT therapy, and many other varieties of treatment to help my clients overcome fear and negative thought patterns and behaviors while having a better quality of life.
I am a licensed professional counselor who has been in private practice for 17+ years. I treat ages 8 and up in private practice and specialize in OCD and Anxiety Disorders including: (OCD issues with Scrupulosity(religious OCD), Perfectionism, PANDAS, Phobias, Trichotillomania (hair pulling), Hoarding, Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Perfectionism, Social Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, School Anxiety and issues, Trauma, Depression, Grief and Loss, ADHD and Family Problems. I am dedicated to providing personalized care to each of my clients, and I am committed to ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques.
My training comes from Rogers Memorial Hospital and the OCD Foundation for my training in OCD and training from TLC for hair pulling problems. My specialization in CBT and ACT certification come from The Beck Institute which is where CBT originated.
I take clients by appointment only for OCD counseling and anxiety.
